Now here’s a dessert thet gives the best ending to a meal. Very easy to make, very tasty and it doesn’t taste too sweet. And did I say healthy? You’ve got the apples, the cranberries and the nutty muesli all contributing to a high nutritious value. You can even use whole grain flour to boost it up even more! Just finished my plate! Yummy!!!
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons caster sugar
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- 1 vanilla pod, seeds only
- 6 apples, cored but not peeled, 3 of them grated, 3 cut into chunks
- 3 tablespoons dried cranberries
- Zest of 1 lemon, juice of 1/2
For the Crumble Topping
- 100g plain flour
- 2 tablespoons Demerara sugar
- 50g butter, cubed and chilled
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons granola or muesli
